I wish I could be there. I feel very fortunate to have had an aunt like Aunt Dee, and I carry her name proudly. All of my brothers and sisters have such fond memories of Aunt Dee and Uncle Hugh. Cathy Dee Blake-San Diego, California

I would like to extend our sympathy to the Galloway family. I visited your mother just a week or so ago with my mother as well. We had such a nice visit. Your family meant so much to us when we were going up and I think of all of you often. I am out of town on a fishing trip but heard of your mothers passing from Mike over the phone. You are all in our prays and thoughts during this difficult time. Sorry I couldn't be there. Keep in touch Ralph, maybe we could visit each other some time in the future.May God bless you, Dennis Buckendahl and family

I was sadden of DeElda's passing, but so thankful for the times we shared together, even tho too short. What I remember about Dee is her unrelenting energy. In particular her high jumps on the tramboline in the barn. And her garden efforts. And her good nature to accompany Dad on his many activities. Sleight rides with the horses, showing horses and his dancing. But, what he enjoyed most with De was the ability to attend college classes for seniors on their trips to college campuses. He enjoyed that and learned much. Cleo

I enjoyed having DeElda as my 7th grade Elgish teacher at Sumner Junior High School. She was liked by all her students.

I also remember a particular blizzard when Joe and I were delivering the Des Moines Sunday Register. It may have been Monday or Tuesday, but we still delivered the paper. I climbed the snowdrift out in front of their farm (taller than the vehicle) and it was solid and wind packed, and placed the paper in the box.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.
