Daniel Lee Monteith, son of Roger and Lindsey Kleppe Monteith, was born July 24, 2010, at Iowa City, Iowa. He was baptized on September 21, 2010, in Waterloo. His death occurred that same day at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo.

He is survived by his parents of Fredericksburg; a twin brother, Duane Landen Monteith; his paternal grandmother, Cindy Nelson and her husband, Greg of Fredericksburg; his paternal grandfather, Robert Monteith of Elk Horn, Wisconsin; and his maternal grandmother, Debra Kleppe of Tripoli.

Services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, September 25, 2010, at St. John Lutheran Church in Sumner with Rev. William Runaas, Jr. officiating. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church. Interment will be at St. John Lutheran Cemetery in Sumner.
