Evelyn was a remarkable woman in so many ways. Standing along with her high standards was a heart full of compassion and a strong intellect. She inspired me to try and be my best and embrace my goals. She surprised me in her acceptance of what I had thought were too modern ideas for a woman of her age and commitment to organized religion. She was direct and forthright, a quality all too often missing in many, that she coupled with empathy. Her curiosity about the world taught me to ask questions and not bring too many preconceptions to my encounters.

Evelyn is missed. Rest in peace.
