Rosalie A. Hanson

 

            Rosalie Ann, Hanson, daughter of Donald and Margy Ann Waskow Hanson, was born July 4, 1963 at Sumner, Iowa. At an early age, she moved with her family to Rockford, Illinois. She graduated from Auburn High School in Rockford. She was married to Don Maitland in 1984 and later divorced.
            A resident of Shell Knob, Missouri since 1994, Rosalie’s death occurred at Cox Hospital South in Springfield, Missouri on Wednesday, March 25, 2009, following a sudden illness. She was 45 years old and enjoyed bowling and boating on Rock Lake.
            She is survived by her father, Don (Brenda) Hanson of Waterloo, Alabama; her longtime companion, Howard McWaters of Shell Knob, Missouri; one brother, Leslie (Patricia) Hanson of Orangeville, Illinois; two nieces, Laura Hanson of Rock Island, Illinois and Michelle Hanson at home with her parents in Orangeville; one nephew, Michael, also at home in Orangeville; her step grandmother, Mildred Waskow of Sumner; and aunts and uncles, Ann (Dave) Hardel of Madison, Wisconsin, David (Linda Hanson of Town Creek, Alabama, Jerry and Cecelia Waskow of Sumner, Russell (Eddy) Hanson of Waterloo, and Marilyn (Jerry) Uhlenberg, also of Waterloo.

            She was preceded in death by her mother, Margy Ann Mason in 2002; and her grandparents, Claude and Ruth Waskow and John and Viola Hanson.

              Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, March 30, 2009, at Becker-Milnes Funeral Chapel in Sumner, Iowa, where firends may call for one hour preceding services on Monday. Burial will be at St. John Lutheran Cemetery in Sumner.
