Sending belated sympathy for the loss of Helene... I only knew of her death recently via the Wartburg newsletter, then checked with Dody here who had worked at St. Theresa's. Connections with the Denkinger family go back to St. John's Luth., Cedar Falls.. Luther League, etc. My sister,Anna May, is Marian's age, I think. My parents had the Westphal Nursery there on W. 1st St., across the corner from the filling station/cottages. My parents sold the nursery in 1953. George graduated from Wartburg College in 1954, so Helene would've been in his class. All so long ago... I kept in contact with Helene for many years, but her health, etc. prevented much contact. And so recently to lose her mother as well. Thinking of the long-ago times; and sympathy to the family. Janet (Westphal) Hanusa. 7204 Reite Ave. Windsor Heights, IA 50324
