Katherine Joanne Davenport, daughter of John and Mary Keegan McCue, was born August 25, 1930, in Fayette County, Iowa. She graduated from Sumner High School in 1948. She married John Blech in 1950, and moved to Fresno, California. They later divorced, and Joanne married Tom Davenport in 1984. She moved back to Fredericksburg in September of 2009, and became a resident of the Tripoli Nursing Home in April of 2010. Her death occurred there on Saturday, January 29, 2011. She was 80 years old.

          She is survived by one brother, Robert McCue of Davenport; one sister, Elaine Gitch of Sumner; a niece, Becky (Steve) Collier of Fresno, California, and numerous other nieces and nephews.

          She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Davenport in 1999; her parents; four brothers, Edward, Donald, Willard, and Thomas McCue; and her twin sister, Jeanne Dier.
