Lynn W. Trewin, son of Jesse and Martha Zipse Trewin, was born October 3, 1915, in Chickasaw County, Iowa. He was baptized in the Methodist faith and attended country school in the Fredericksburg area.

            Mr. Trewin farmed his entire life in the Waucoma area and assisted many area farmers.

            His death occurred on Tuesday, May 18, 2010, at Mercy Medical Center in New Hampton from complications of age. He was 94 years old.

            He is survived by one brother, Merle Trewin of Waucoma; and three nephews, Gerald “Jake” Trewin of Waucoma, Harlan E. Trewin of Hackett, Arkansas, and James C. Trewin of Bend, Oregon.

            He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, who died in infancy.

            Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 22, 2010, at Becker-Milnes Funeral Chapel in Sumner. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Friday, May 21, 2010, at Becker-Milnes Funeral Home in Sumner and for one hour preceding services at the funeral home on Saturday. Interment will be at Rose Hill Cemetery in Fredericksburg.
