Richard P. Stubenrauch

     Richard Stubenrauch,62, passed away on May 13, 2009, at the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle, Washington, following a long illness.

     Richard Paul Stubenrauch was born on May 8, 1947, in Waterloo, Iowa. He was the son of Richard and Dellene (Eidahl) Stubenrauch. Rich was educated in Sumner and graduated from Sumner High School in 1965. He worked at Eagle Foods and made his home in Ely. On May 2, 1981, Rich married Patty Loterbour at Cedar Rapids. The couple made their hom in Ely until 1988, when they moved to Kent , Washington. In 1998, the couple moved to their current home in Bonney Lake. Rich worked as a meat cutter in Cedar Rapids at Eagle Foods. In Washington he worked at Fred Meyer until earlier this year, when he as forced to retire due to failing health.

     Rich enjoyed woodworking, gradening, landscaping, traveling, classic cars, working on his koi pond and playing with the family dogs.

     Survivors include his wife: Patty of Bonney Lake, Washington; his parents: Richard and Dellene Stubenrauch of Strawberry Point; and sister: Terry (Leon) Borcherding of Sumner.

     Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at Becker-Milnes Funeral Chapel in Sumner with Rev. William Runaas, Jr. officiating. The family will greet friends for one hour prior to the services at the funeral home on Wednesday.
